Installed updates from the Marketplace and now FS won't start?

I just installed a lot of updates from the Marketplace and now FS crashes to the desktop as aoon as it loads.

Same here. A lot of addons (Market or otherwise) cause the program to get stuck on “checking for updates.” Solved, but annoyingly so, with Addon Linker.

Edit: Well mine doesn’t crash to desktop, it just hangs on that screen.

Here’s a fix that may work for you.

Rename you community folder to BACKUP. MSFS will create a new Community folder.

Restart MSFS it should work, now when everything is working, just add 1 addon at the time and restart MSFS if it freezes or crashes after any addon then the file is the culprit.

If you use ADDON-LINKER empty your community restat MSFS and follow same procedures above, always remember never add more then 1 addon at the time its the only way to trouble shoot it.

Solution but certainly not the only way … many folk will load 50% of their community mods and if no joy half of that again etc. until they find the culprit(s).

Yea, whatever way to work out where your load limit is at. I’m running right on the edge. I just bought an airport from the market (NWWW), and uninstalled a plane (PA 44) to get it to start. Apparently you can buy a fair bit and it works fine, but when you restart the game it won’t start until you’re under whatever limit this is.
