Installing/moving the sim onto new second Nvme

I wanting to install/move all my sim files (including the sim itself) onto a new second ssd nvme drive. Is it as easy as drag and drop or is more work need to do so. Any help appreciated as I don’t want it to go wrong.

It’s been formatted and is visible on the PC

Thanks for that. I managed to transfer the sim across to the new drive. With the likes of GSX/FBW ect do they have to remain on the original drive?

I’m trying to follow those instructions, but keep getting this message

I’ve seen the exact same problem. Microsoft locks some folders down (encyption?)

I haven’t tried any of these tools, but I have heard ‘rumors’ that they can solve the problem.

Show full path in file explorer.

Where do I locate that?

just click on the bar

edit : in order to see the path of folder I guess like “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\152642231\760\remote\1250410\screenshots” so we can have better understanding of wich folder we see, and wich folder you are trying to move, I guess that was why Tenpatrol asked you

I appreciate you guys trying to help, but you need to break it down as to where to go? show full path on what drive? click on the bar…then what? here is another screenshot as what im currently seeing.

On samsung X create new folder named MSFS 2020
Copy Official folder to new folder MSFS 2020

It wont allow me to that’s why i get the other message “your organisation does not allow you to place the file here”. That’s the issue im having. The message appears for both Community and Official.

Zip Offcial folder and unzip at the new folder named MSFS 2020

is it due to drive format mismatching like fat32 to ntfs drive ?

You probably use bitlocker or some sort of equivalent encryption technique. Make sure your new NVME is not encrypted.

I don’t encrypt mine, and I get that “does not allow” message.

Thanks everyone for the help. I was left with two choices. 1. Throw the PC through the window or 2. Do a clean re-install.

I can say I went with No. 2.

Hopefully from now on everything will from the sim will be on the New second SSD.
