Old thread resurrection but I was noticing it in 2024 today.
Where it needs to be completely eliminated is in VR. In 2D it kind of works okay.
What I saw in VR today was the brightness of the night sky drastically changing given the overall orientation of the headset. It’s very unnatural feeling.
In VR your eyes are working like the do in real life. So your head may be up and you try to look down at the instruments or vice versa and you have to deal with an unnatural clipping of light levels.
