Instrument view camera gets stuck - won't pan

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Ability to pan the camera with right mouse click + move is interrupted, camera is stuck, can’t pan. See detailed repro steps below.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

For the Citation Longitude: Every time change to instrument view 3. Other aircraft exhibit similar behavior in 1 or more of their views.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Use default assigned keyboard shortcuts to change instrument views. SHIFT+1, SHIFT+2, …

At each camera position, use default assigned right mouse click and hold + mouse move to pan the camera around.

Works fine in Instrument View 1 and 2, but then on Instrument View 3 (zoomed and centered on the FMS screens) - camera pan either works super briefly and then gets stuck or doesn’t work at all.

For this Citation Longitude it’s always and only instrument view 3. Same problem for view 3 in 737 Max 8 (Asobo). Others tried are worse: Cirrus SR22 has multiple instrument views that get stuck. Cessna 172 seems to be the worst at instrument view 2.

Yep, I tried this in the SR22 and in at least the first three instrument views I tried (SHIFT 1/2/3) the view would randomly stop when dragging with right mouse button held. You would have to exit and re-enter the view to try again, but it would eventually get stuck again.

This is on SU5.

Just another note, I don’t think this issue with views freezing is only tied to using the mouse.

I also have controller keys configured to enable instrument view and then step to next and previous views. In planes where this view freezing issue exists, often times the “next” and “previous” instrument view key binds also don’t work. I could never figure out why in some planes I couldn’t get the views to change with my controller, and now I’m pretty convinced it’s all tied together with the cause of this bug, too.
