I found out. In editor mode, after clicking “build all”, the settings are immediately reset to the easy ones. Check it out.

its not only the Assistance its also live weather or everything that is live. You have always check this again otherwise it is not adjusted

Thats also on Xbox ! if you close the game (not quick resume) then it will reset all to easy.

This happened to me on Series S as well, when both closing the sim or using quick resume…

Same hear, it appears to be random but had to re doe my settings a few times now.
Update. Been in and out of the sim lots of times and my settings stayed as previously set. This afternoon I loaded up and all settings back to easy

That’s interesting. Mine has been fine after sim shutdown except today. This morning I removed the Asobo Zurich airport so I guess that’s a marketplace ‘update’ 
there is nothing in that file that relates to the assistance options. It is primarily graphics settings
This is how it happened with me, HOWEVER, it did reset again after attempting the Mirimar landing challenge. It loaded into the challenge with the settings not only reset, but unable to be changed. When going back to free flight, they were still reset.

Well I don’t know then because it worked for me, perhaps just the act of saving UserCfg affects an XML file eleswhere. All I cans say is that I changed everything back to where it was, restarted my PC and the settings stuck.
Seeing this happen consistently when resyncing or build.

Yes, and I have updated them twice. If the third time is not charm, will bug it too. Tired of chasing tail in this game.
It was a pain to do it the first time. But, then it all re-set again! They really need to issue a hot-fix for this and other things that used to work OK.

Assistance Options reset to EASY twice now after SU7. Store version, PC. I corrected the settings to my preferences. Then I restarted the MSFS. The Assistance Options were maintained correctly. I then downloaded three Marketplace Updates. Immediately I checked the Assistance Options and they had been reset to all EASY again.
I just changed my display settings on the PC and the Assistance settings are back to all EASY.
It is frustrating that every update creates more problems.

I had reset everything from EASY back to my custom settings. Did an update that was available (Vessels I think but it doesn’t matter) and found that my custom settings changed back to EASY after the update was complete.
It never ends
