Anyone tried this plane out in VR?
Yep, runs nicely, except the issue with the out of focus mouse cursor which seems to be all the rage with 3rd party in VR.
I have to say I am positively surprised by the Jabiru. The flight model is nice and you get both class cockpit and steam gauges for both Jabiru variants. The documentation is well done, and I canāt wait to fly the Australia bush trips. Only thing to nitpick are the average quality texture on the top of the dasboard, which is not on par with what MSFS could offer, but which you will have to watch a lot. Performance wise everything is good, but it should be noted that Iām running a 5600X.
Hello Iris-Team,
First i must say thank you for this little plane, i like it really very much ![]()
I“ve only one question:
Could it be possible to have the windows more transparent, clearer, not so dark, maybe swichable through the pad ?
Iāll look into it. ![]()
Also, any news about the reversed compass issue which is still present?
Not as yet, itāll be addressed in a future update
Thank you ![]()
Agree with this, also some wear and tear would make the cockpit more realistic.
Nonetheless a great little plane!
Also, the āJabirus everywhereā syndrome seems to be back, where most of the planes you see on the ramps are Jabirus when you have the plane installed.
Same here, I thought I was doing something wrong
You can deactivate the jabiru appearing as ai traffic by editing the cfg file.
- open the aircraft.cfg at Community\iris-aircraft-jab\SimObjects\Airplanes\IRIS_J160
- look for this section: [FLTSIM.0]
- change isAirTraffic=1 to isAirTraffic=0
- repeat this for every section [FLTSIM.0-9] and for the J170
This also works with other planes.
How do you switch between different cockpit versions? Would like th analogue gauses.
You can choose it at the Liveries menu of the Jabiru. You see a symbol of an analog gauges in the pictures of each Livery which has analog gauges.
The pilot positioning in external view is still wrong for Jabiru planes. Any update for that?
You can fix this by changing the avatar in the options menu and then save the change. Then change back and save. Voila! The external view is now correct. Unfortunately this fix is temporary. This problem does not only affect the Jabirus.
Thanks. Have never explored liveries in MSFS before. Didnāt occur to me it would be there.
Anyone else having trouble getting AP to follow selected altitude using chosen VS speed in J160? It works for me in J170, but with the J160 custom avionics, I can select VS speed, and the plane reacts somewhat maybe getting 100 feet higher. After that it levels out and I no longer canāt adjust VS speed using the middle knob. And Iām using the sequence from the manual, which works for J170ā¦
Iāve had this too, where it basically worked for me once, but not again after that
As great as those ideas are, there would be nothing better than getting a C162 Skycatcher for MSFS! I fly those for training all the time, and the avionics package in the aircraft, the G300, is already in sim with the Extra.
Ever since JustFlight stopped supporting theirs, Iāve never been able to fly it, since it wasnāt around in my FSX days.
