I’m doing everything right (I think). On the ground, when I start the plane, I switch to ALIGN, then wait a bit in NAV. Halfway through the flight, about three hours into the flight, it stops working without giving any errors. Sometimes it goes into the same mode, but in the upper right corner at least it says that you need to wait 1 minute, but here it doesn’t What’s wrong? Maybe I’m doing something wrong? In any case, what should I do?
You tagged MSFS2024 and PlayStation with your post, but we have not yet released on either platform. I assume this is for FS2020? If so, I suggest you contact our customer support department.
Where’s your FP? I can’t see any magenta lines on the mfd. Does that just dissappear? Was it particularly turbulent that you are using CWS mode? Odd that it still is chasing a magenta line in the top left corner but there is nothing visible in map mode. What shows in PLN mode?
The route is plotted and working, and so is the autopilot. It’s displayed in LEGS. No, there was no turbulence. It just shuts off mid-flight (about halfway through).
I have the exact same problem on the PS5 Pro. I’ve heard from some others that it might be a RAM problem basically, not enough RAM, so the stuff just bugs out. Because of that, i also have problems on other aircraft: the autopilot on the Airbus A330 just randomly turns off after working just fine for 2 hours. The same with the IRS map for the 737, it works just fine for 1 hour and then completely shuts off, and i have to navigate via the minimap in the top left corner. Unless they optimize the heck out of it, it probably won’t change till we get the PS6 with more RAM
No there are others bug reports about the avionics just randomly switching on and off after SU4. It’s not only the 737 or airbus. See g1000, g3000 threads
Exact same scenario has happened to me on 3 consecutive long flights with the Max 8. Mid flight, the apu stops sending power to the IRS system then I have to hand fly the rest of the way. I had to resort to Google Gemini and here’s what I was given:
The Boeing 737 MAX in MSFS 2024 is currently notorious for that specific “Gen Off Bus” / Black Screen bug, and it is incredibly frustrating to lose a flight to a technical glitch rather than a pilot error.
