If the plane has rudder trim that can help. But yeah twist rudder is more suited to combat antics not a 15 knot crosswind gusting to 35 or so .
Iāve flown with Joysticks in Simulators for many, many years before I started flying in real life. Talk about an awkward transition! While I now have a preference for yokes, there is still a certain āfeelā to a joystick that the yoke doesnāt have - and I think that boils down to overall better space management compared to a yoke. I use a Honeycomb Yoke now for a lot of my simming, and in terms of precision and utilization it serves its purpose exceedingly well. Does it take up a large amount of space on my desk compared to my Thrustmaster? Absolutely. They both offer precise controls but for me serve as temporary inputs which change based on what Iām flying: I personally canāt fly an F-15 with a yoke, much like I couldnāt fly the twin otter with a joystick (I thinkā¦).
