i got a ps5 vr2, does anyone got it working with an pc-adaptor?
got a 4060 i5 12 gen 32gb ddr5 laptop not best specs for vr but i’m considoring to upgrade after the Nvidia 50 series dropped with a big budget.
just curious if this is possible or anyone try it.
Probably not enough PC power imho. If you upgrade to a good desktop PC with at least a latest gen cpu and rtx4090, then your psvr2 should work ok. A very little google research will tell you this.
Yep it works
I have i513600K A770intel Arc.
It had better FPS in FS20. Its clear enough to read the instruments.
Great colours from the OLED panels. If you don’t already own one, they are cheap to buy used.
Stu
PSVR2 on PC has been kicked into top gear with the SU2 Beta.
Really starting to perform great.
Sony has also said they are putting the eye tracking feature on it soon. Currently the feature is on the hardware, but only activated on PS not PC.
When they add pancake lens, or maybe even aspherical lens, please let me know. No way I’m ever going to buy a headset with fresnel lens. Not after owning a QPro and Q3, lol! Maybe Sony will release a psvr2.5 in the near future? If they did and it cost less than $1,000 I’d buy one, maybe even a ps5 pro, lol!
From another Reddit thread (I couldn’t find it now) I just learned of another way to get the non-Steam version of MSFS to kinda work. You still need all the PSVR2 adapter.
Here’s how I was able to get into MSFS 2024 with PSVR2:
Start MSFS 2024 as usual
Launch SteamVR and Steam app
Once you log into the ‘virtual room’ in Steam, there’s a toolbar at the bottom where it can show your PC’s desktop.
Pick MSFS 2024 app
From there, you can go into VR mode from within MSFS 2024
I did this with MSFS 2024 SU1.
And perhaps this was a round about way of getting it to work with Steam, the experience wasn’t that great. The visual was blurry in some areas.
Since this was my first time trying PSVR2 with MSFS 2024, I have no idea how to get it to work properly. I also don’t have other VRs so that also didn’t help.
Perhaps other people have better ideas on how to get it to work.
