Is Blacksquare Simulations still in business?

Hi all,

Does anyone know if Blacksquare is still around? They haven’t released any updates to the KingAir or the Caravan, and I haven’t seen that they have anything else in the works. There’s a single thread on the Just Flight forum that says they are working on a Bonanza, but that’s pretty old. Just wondering if anyone else has heard from them. Thanks.

Yeah, but, for its time, it seemed like it was going to be the future of GA… Unfortunately, well,… read the story.

It’s still a pretty iconic plane. I’d consider purchasing it. For the sim.

I sent Just Flight a couple tickets last week for the BKSQ products. They have replied promptly saying that the Caravan and King Air are being worked on but AAU1 compatibility is the biggest issue being worked on. I wouldn’t worry just yet.

I wish they would fix a couple of small issues on the Velocity XL, i.e. the AC display and the lack of wind noise reduction with the door seals (which they advertise as working). Also when using FS Realistic walkaround mode the Velocity has this weird untextured 3D shape around the plane where ice buildup occurs.

The Starship is cool, but was ultimately a failure. I’d much rather see them work on a Velocity twin. Seems like they could reuse much of the dev code they used for the Velocity XL (which is an excellent rendition of that plane) IMHO.
