They’re products are great but this experience is too much for me. After repeated calls and email attempts to find out the status of my 2 month old order for a simple trim wheel, I threw in the towel and initiated a chargeback with my bank. Hope my Alpha and Bravo have a good and healthy life.
website is back up. But I still think they are way over rated. From a human factors standpoint there were a few huge things I could never get over. The way their products hang down is a big problem for those with corner desks. The screws are hard to use when attempting to stack a logitiech radio panel / switch panel on. Which they were meant for. The switches are a challenge to label on the bravo. Some love them. But not me. Oh and their customer service continues to sound really bad.
Aerosoft has a 30% off sale on Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo until 28-AUG
Do they have stock? Or is it “give Aerosoft some money and they’ll go procure one from Honeycomb (who probably don’t have stock) for you”?
I have the drivers, but that page doesn’t work either. If you buy from anyone, it doesn’t look like you can get the drivers.
IIRC the drivers page downloads from Aerosoft and has been broken forever. I don’t use them anyway, just map with A&O or directly with the various sims and use better bravo lights.
You can also try Pilot Supplies and Aircraft Parts | Aircraft Spruce Canada
It’s where I got my Alpha and Bravo through, they have sales all the time.
I’m going through the same thing…my wife ordered the Bravo well ahead of my birthday, which was Aug 8th. It still hasn’t delivered. I haven’t yet, but I may have her contact her credit card company for a chargeback. Did that work for you? I wonder if the Better Business Bureau can get on these guys. It’s just not right that the collect the few hundred bucks and don’t deliver. They should at least be upfront and give you an expected delivery date, even if it’s several months out.
Their page is back up with the driver page here: Honeycomb Downloads – Honeycomb Aeronautical
I haven’t looked everywhere, but I bought mine about 1 1/2 years ago through Amazon and they are still showing them being available. I got mine in less than a week. The price has gone up from when I bought mine, but they are still there.
The only consideration I would make - using my experience - is that they are a little difficult to set up with settings other than the default with their drivers, but there are lots of videos showing how to do it.
Some are reporting poor customer support, but I haven’t had to try that - yet.
The worst problem seems to be dealing with the company itself.
This might be good news for those of us that own Honeycomb gear.
It might become a collectors item and very rare
The thing I really loathe about the Bravo, is the way all the switches are inaccessible as the throttle levers get in the way.
Especially in VR! Also some bindings never work. My most recent was trying to bind the Headphone Simulation On/Off for those aircraft that are just too quiet. Looks like it should work, but doesn’t. Could be an Asobo thing or a Honeycomb issue.
Update: Still no delivery and no help through their zendesk. It’s too late for a refund (according to my wife when she tries to contact them). I’ve contacted the BBB. Hopefully they can be of help. I’d still prefer the shipment over a refund, but for now, I’m wondering how many others are going through this. You can’t just charge people $300, not deliver, and expect to get away with it. However, these are the times we live in where this kind of thing is part of the norm when it comes to shopping on-line. I was surprised how soon the BBB responded (next day) with a case number. Hopefully they can be of help to both myself and Honeycomb to get their “ship” together!
The drivers download page from Aerosoft only works with Edge for me and not Chrome. Could be your browser causing the issue? Aerosoft also have this Aerosoft One thing now that is supposed to update your Aerosoft products - but no idea if that works - the only thing I downloaded from them was the bravo lights “bridge” exe
I’ve been waiting 3 months for a shipping label for warranty repair. 7/7/2023
7 months waiting for a warranty repair shipping label for me. Responses are either non-existent or excuses. I’ve given up.
You can probably FIX-IT-YOURSELF with a lot less hassle.
Many of the common problems are well explained on Youtube, or other internet posts.
WD-40 is your Friend !!!
Yet people still spend money with them. Speak with your wallets and either force them to 1) Change for the better or 2) Go out of business.
I think people still spend money with them because their products are quite good, at a reasonable price and customers hope they will never have to rely on their after sales service.
That was my thinking anyway when I bought (from available stock) the Alpha and Bravo albeit from a reliable 3rd party store who I thought would honour a one year guarantee or refund if I had problems in the first month. Bit of a gamble though and not really what you want as a customer.
That said, I might be in the market soon for replacement rudder pedals but will definitely not be considering their Charlie Rudder Pedals and certainly won’t be pre ordering them. That one, at least for me, is one gamble too far. Not a chance.
That’s extremely unfortunate. I feel confident this company is about to go bust. I’m a day 1 purchaser and unfortunately both my alpha and bravo had issues. My bravo sits in the shelf and I now use a thrustmaster Boeing yoke, but my bravo has a busted throttle and sits in the corner….
I was surprised to see “DJ” send me an RMA form to fill out, but going on a month without any replies. Personally, I’d fill out some type of police report and call it theft. If you’ve gone this long without any reply or product, it seems like the next logical step. Their rating in the BBB is an F and it looks like they stopped replying to that as well.
I see some serious legal issues in the future of honeycomb if they don’t get it together.
My wife bought it with her credit card (or debit card). I’m wondering if she still has time to file a fraud report. I figure that may be the next step. I’m so disappointed. I’ve had the Alpha yoke for some time now and actually like the product. I was really looking forward to the Bravo.
