With the new sim, I have received quite a few aircraft that I will never use, yet they always show up in my aircraft selection menu. Is there any way to remove the ones I don’t want?

They are stored on the cloud so how are you supposed to do that?

I think at some point when they enable the Marketplace we will be able to disable them.

I believe they are working on a method to allow streamed content to be disabled. It’s also an issue for unwanted scenery packages.

The reason to remove not used planes was to save diskspace. But they are now all stored in the cloud and not on your pc. So, why would you want to do that?
So they wouldn’t have such a big catalogue to sift through to find what they want to fly more efficiently, seems pretty straight forward.

Because a lot of the 2020 content is not fully compatible in 2024 and causes issue, PMDG have stated none of there aircraft are compatible and did not want them streamed in but they have been. It does seem that add on scenary from 2020 is more of the issue than aircraft.

I don’t want to scroll through loads of aircraft I will never use to get to the one I want. I’d like either a favourites category or to be able to disable those I don’t want from ever appearing. Should be easy enough to do.

The aircraft selection screen is horrendous - after all the hype, it’s baffling how they’ve made everything about the menus worse compared to 2020!

As others have said in 2024 the (default) aircraft are stream rather than installed on your machine, so in that sense you cannot remove them.
What is an oversight or poor decision in my view is grouping the majority (fixed wing) aircraft in a single section. Likewise it would be really useful if they would provide a very simply way for us to mark aircraft as “favourites” so we can filter for them.
Actually, I would take this one step further and even allow a basic ranking system + filter…

No filter = show all available aircraft.
Then use the filter to include ranked aircraft only, e.g. whether that be only ** aircraft or ** and above. Ideally with the filter remaining as you left it.

If I have an “online profile” that knows the level of game that I bought, you would think I could tag planes as favorites and have that saved to my profile as well.
