Is Lack of Cross-Progression (Xbox/PC to PS5) a Deal Breaker for MSFS 2024?

I was going to get the ps5 version on release, but the fact that marketplace addons won’t transfer is also a deal breaker for me.

I started on xbox series x when the sim released and bought quite a few things from the marketplace.

I made the switch to pc a couple of years ago and having my progress and addons transfer was great.

Starting again on playstation just seems unfair.

I’ve officially switched from my Xbox to the PS5, and it’s been a smooth jump. Since I hadn’t bought any add-ons, I just had to repurchase the game itself. My base PS5 is handling it beautifully; I haven’t seen a single stutter! It’s undeniably way smoother than the performance I was getting on the Xbox.

I bought it too. But I am having a go after a PC. Very hard to go from honeycomb to a controller

I have to say that the graphics are pretty good and I am not on a pro 5. I will recommend it to anyone who wants to fly but use the thrustmaster Hotas

I’m running a HOTAS 4 right now, and honestly, it gets the job done perfectly! I’m optimistic that we’ll see plenty more flight sticks become compatible down the road. The only headache I ran into was button mapping. For some odd reason, the search function—the one that usually tells you what’s bound to what—just wouldn’t work. It was a massive pain, taking me forever to figure out the bindings without that search tool. I’m hoping that’s just a temporary bug, because navigating it manually was a nightmare!

Did you download from thrustmaster? I’m finding the controller sensitivities way off the charts. It is so touchy. I’m definitely getting the Hotas. Can you PM me once you figure out the settings please :folded_hands: if that’s ok

I didn’t change any sensitivities on the hotas; they were all on default “0”, and it was perfect for me. Not too sensitive but not unresponsive either. Pretty much worked right out of the box.

I suspect scalpers snapped up the majority of them to resell at significantly inflated prices. A quick search on selling sites confirms this, with some listings demanding nearly double the original cost. I purchased my mine as soon as they announced which flight sticks would be compatible with the PS version. It might be worth checking local game shops if you have any nearby; a friend of mine got lucky doing exactly that today.

PPL in the bag but unless I can get a hotas I’ll get back to my PC for now. :+1:

If you’re going to put that much money into 2 consoles, why not just get a PC? I can’t imagine running a flight simulator on anything else.

I have a gaming PC and a laptop. I just prefer playing on console. :grimacing:
