Is MSFS a game?

there was never any kind of points, levels or score system in it, like a game would have (i can’t speak for acceleration, i never used it)

• the trailer for 2020 focused on the flying, there was little, if any, reference to missions and challenges
• the trailer for 2024 is pretty much all about missions and challenges

Both trailers for MSFS2024 showed actual real-world flight ops depicted in a realistic manner. Why do you consider that to be game-like and not an accurate simulator?

learning that 2024 will be all about missions… well, i can understand that it may be a bit dissapointing to some of us here.

As I posted previously, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will include enhancements to almost all aspects of flight simulation in MSFS, including the physics and aerodynamics engine, aircraft systems, avionics, and more. The Aviation Activity system is an exciting new feature of MSFS2024, but it’s not at all the only improvement coming in the new version.
