Is TAA mode bugged in VR 2024?

I am wondering if the significant performance drop from 2020 to 2024 in TAA mode is to be expected given changes to the engine, or actually a bug which can be fixed by the developers (perhaps super sampling is automatically enabled or something like that).

Does anyone know if the relative poor 2024 TAA performance is also present in 2d mode at high resolutions, ie 4k and above?

I also think TAA is somehow bugged in MSFS2024. But I have the feeling that 2020 is overall running smoother in VR. I just think that in TAS the most performance is required and therefore you sense there first.

Let’s see how thing work out with SU2 which should contain a lot of VR bugfixes.

Although I hope they find a way to fix the ghosting for the displays in DLSS because the overall image quality is superb there.

I stopped the dlss and switched back to TAA. Found the ghosting so noticable With the cockpit instruments that i prefer clear image over en few fps. Maybe its a setting but i cannot get the dlss sharp

I understand you and when there is motion on the displays there is ghosting. in my case it’s mostly the small numbers in the airbus PFD and I got used to it now. the holy grail would be the overall sharpness of DLSS which gives a very steady and sharp picture combined with the TAA displays.

I’ve been running DX12 / TAA in 2020 for well over a year with good performance, there is definitely something amiss in 2024
