I’m trying to figure out what GSX is about. Is there a FedEX Profile? Not sure if it works this way but what I’m looking for is the specific FedEx ground equipment for the planes.

No. FedEx would be a Livery. GSX will work so long as it knows about your aircraft type, which it most likely does.
I believe GSX will allow you to manually configure a profile for aircraft it doesn’t already know.

Hey, from the way your question is worded I assume you are asking if GSX has those unique cargo containers, ground handling trucks, etc… GSX has an incredibly diverse selection of handlers worldwide, and a major operator such as FedEx is surely represented. In the last picture of this post by DrVenkman3876 you can see the FedEx equipment from GSX. So it is there, no separate downloads necessary.
For aircraft such as the iniBuilds A300F, TFDI MD-11F, PMDG 737F or 777F, there should be no issues with selecting FedEx as the ground handler. Just be sure to download a solid GSX profile for your airport(s) (many excellent ones here), and your plane is parked at a stand that FedEx uses in the real-world.
I bought GSX two years ago and have no regrets. As buggy as it is sometimes, there is nothing like it. And the dev is constantly adding new things for free.
