As the title says.
I don’t like to eat sat at my desk or I’m sometimes distracted by real life. However I still want to monitor temps, revs etc. from afar. Is there a mod that lets me automatically zoom into and rotate between individual instruments and of course the view outside?
I’ve had a quick search but I’ve not seen what I’m looking for
You could create a series of custom camera views, which each one focusing on either an individual dial, or displaying several. In theory that could be sent to a remote device like an Ipad, with the right software installed, though that would make it tricky to flip between them. In that instance RDP might do nicely, as you can have a view of the remote computer, as well as send keystrokes through it.
That’s what I was thinking too. Spad could be used to set up a toggle on/off timer to regularly press “next view” at an interval.
From messing with the Cub views, I’m unsure if there’s a limit for number of “instrument” views, but it’s more than 30 or so. It’s worth testing to see what the limit actually is
Just spitballing. Perhaps you could create a Windows macro that cycles through keypresses. I’ve seen some pretty sophisticated macros, but I’m not sure how or even if they could run in the background and control the sim interface.
Tbh I don’t want to buy an I-pad just for that or even have to touch a key
I shall simply wait for some clever soul to invent such a mod now that I’ve planted the seed
Depending on how good your eyesight is, it could just be an extremely zoomed in view of the instrument, and endlessly cycle through the views until you press another button. You might need external software to do that last bit.
Didn’t think about SPAD’s scripting. Good idea!
Spad can send it directly to MSFS too, instead of just a blind keypress over everything

I use Touch Portal for some time now on a old android cellphone next to my yoke setup.
Having a look at www.touch-portal.com will tel you more.
interesting athough not exactly what I’m looking for. I’ll give it a go till something better comes along
Any sort of automatic sequencing will require another script of some sort, be it Windows, Spad (or the competitors), Flow, etc. But yes, you’ve inspired me to mess around when I’ve got a bit of time. I’m genuinely curious about the outer limits of the camera API anyway, which I believe we haven’t fully explored except in a few edge cases

That sounds fantastic and I Iook forward to your success. Good luck!
Ideally it would be something that kicks in after say two minutes of controller inactivity that hides itself once inputs resume
I have this crazy dream which may have to wait for FS24 (or beyond) but I had this setup in a previous sim that would cycle between 100-200 camera angles in cruise. It had fly-by, instruments, gopro-angles, fly-around, etc and was very cinematic. I’d love to get there some day but I’m really unsure how realistic that is (or will be). I know that’s beyond the scope of what you’re asking here but it’s my dream

I’ve had many such a dream but then I realise my coding ability scarcely runs beyond HTML
My coding skill doesn’t even extend that far but I can google like no one’s business.
On top of the auto-transition, I have an inkling of an idea to impact camera transition speeds. Use variable transition speeds for x, y, z coords to transfer between views. Every 1/30 second, go forward to x+0.1 or whatever. But that ends up being very specific per aircraft and quite tedious to set up.

I think most simmers mainly stick to their favourite aircraft but sure let them create profiles then surely they can be swapped?
