I’ve tried searching, but can’t find anything so far.
In short, I run a 1440p monitor … but I would like to try and capture some higher res screenshots, 4K, even 8K that I could use for a poster on my son’s wall as he loves MSFS as well.
Anybody got any ideas on how I might be able to do that ?
You can use DSR (NVIDIA) or VSR (AMD) to create a higher-than-native resolution, then set MSFS to that and take the screenshots.
For NVIDIA, you got to the NVIDIA control panel (right-click on the desktop to get the menu option), then go to “DSR - factors” and select 4x. After that, start MSFS and go to the settings, and you should be able to select 5120x2880 as the resolution.
The frame rate will suffer of course, but you should be able to change the resolution up and down mid-flight if you want to.
For AMD I’m not sure exactly where it’s located, but probably in the drivers somewhere. Should be easy to find a VSR guide regardless!
