Is there a workaround for VATSIM a/c lights not showing?

When flying on VATSIM, all the other aircraft don’t have any lights on. If I’m correct this is a SU5 bug. Is there a workaround to fix this? Now you don’t see any of the other aircraft when flying in the dark.
