Hey guys, I was doing some flights, trying out some things, and I noticed something curious that at Budapest airport, when the engines start, this smoke started coming out as if it were on a ground full of snow.
I noticed the same under certain conditions and I am wondering too if that visual effect is intended to reproduce snow projection since we can see some white blocks but in that case there is no snow on the ground or it is an effect due to a low outside air temperature.
Are you using the default inibuild A320 v2 ?. I cannot reproduce right now with that aircraft at LHBP.
A theory: in FS2020 they removed the snow from runways/taxiways but the may have not removed the associated snow visual effect generated by aircraft engine. But the point is that there is neither no snow at this airport right now.
I thought it was a visual bug since I’m playing on the beta. It’s the A321neo from Inibuilds - Xbox Series X, also note that the idle engines make the plane move as if they were at 20%.
This was the metar that day
Departure:
LHBP/BUD LISZT FERENC INTL

FT 021115 0212/0312 07006KT 9999 SCT030
I was able to reproduce and the effect is linked to the snow. Somes conditions I have identified to reproduce:
Snow depth >=8 (snow starts to be visible if >=13)
Month: January or February
Maybe some tweak would be required in order to adapt the snow visual effect based on the visual snow quantity. Also if you have snow at the airport but no snow on the taxiways/runways, the projection should be limited only to the ground location covered by snow.
