Is weather in bush trips random, fixed or configurable on xbox? As a new sim pilot I have mainly set the weather to custom in the World Map with clear skies and wind speed at a very benign 2 kts. On entering a bush trip from the activities section, the weather on the initial “Legs” screen seems to confirm my World Map setting. However when selecting the first leg, and hitting continue, I get to the airport to find rain, 9 kts of wind and very limited visibility. The reason I ask if the weather is random is that I uninstalled a particular bush trip and reinstalled it to be able to start from scratch, the weather was totally different the second time I started the trip.
I should have added that on the bush trip main screen I see a Flight Conditions link in the top right corner , but clicking this does nothing.
So, after typing, I had a flash of inspiration. I entered the second leg of the bush trip and to find atrocious weather and realised that there is a “weather” option at the top of that screen too, along with Nav Log, Checklist etc. From there I can adjust the weather. By default it seems this is set to LIve time and weather. Not surprising the weather was awful in November on the the west coast of Wales with a storm in progress.
Hopefully this post will help anyone else struggling to fly a Cub Crafter X in less than ideal conditions.
