I read it will work automatically under MSFS2020. Before starting i updated via Aerosoft HP and it was detected and had new drivers. In MSFS i can see it in control options but only Joystix L Axis Y and Z seems to work when checking sensitivity. R and L Axis dont react. And when i test on rwy with 737 turbine two is at 82% and one at 0% and both cant be controlled. All other buttons dont work too. What went wrong? Isnt it plug and play as Thrustmaster for example?
The manual said exactly “compatible with Microsoft Flight Simulator […] no download required.”
@MOD Could you please remove my thread to Tech Talk?
While the Honeycomb Products (Alpha and Bravo) are compatible and supported, they still can require configuration based on the aircraft you are flying.
More complex (mainly third party) aircraft, require custom mappings, calibrations, etc… As well, depending on the aircraft, not all buttons / mappings will work as those values can be hidden.
Could you please provide the aircraft you are testing with?
There is a “driver” so to speak, but all it is used for is the lights on the unit.
They are supported, work “out of the box” (more or less) for default aircraft, but now you are working with third party complex aircraft that have their own systems and control requirements.
This is not unique to the Bravo or the 737 It’s the same across the board.
That vid is still pretty much the gold standard in setting up the Bravo for all 4 engine types, and then from there, you build off them.
There have been improvements with turbo props, reversers, etc… but RMAG’s guides are still very relevant.
I will say, if you’re going to complete hi setup of the 4 engine types, watch his on setting the switches first, and then build off that profile otherwise you have to re-set the switches everytime.
Just follow his instructions exactly like he says and it will work. As has been said, there are aircraft for which you will want to adjust to suit yourself, but set them up as instructed and you will be able to decide later which you want to change. By setting them up as in the video, you will understand the operation of the Bravo better and able to make good decisions later.
