ISSUE DESCRIPTION
Flying the 737 Max using VNAV for descent (in this case, IRNMN2 into KLAX), the aircraft is following the VNAV descent when it will suddenly break free from the VNAV and even try to climb. It loses speed to the point of generating a stall warning. I disconnect from VNAV and use the V/S dial to force the aircraft back into a descent until the small arrow shows it’s back on the descent plan. I then switch back over to VNAV and the aircraft descends normally from there. Not having this issue with other aircraft.

REPRODUCTION STEPS
Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:
-
Set up a VNAV approach with the 737 MAX (suggest IRNMN2 to KLAX)
-
Activate the VNAV from cruise and allow the aircraft to descend
-
At around 13,000 feet, the aircraft disconnected from VNAV and started to ciimb, even though the VNAV was still activated.
