Issue with End Screen Not Appearing After Completing Custom Activities in MSFS 2024

Hello,

I’ve been thoroughly testing various activities in MSFS 2024 such as Bush Trips, Discovery Flights, Free Flight, etc. While some activities present errors at the start, others launch correctly. However, regardless of the type, none of them display an End Screen upon completion like in MSFS 2020. Instead, if a mission is not completed successfully, a Mission Failed screen appears as expected.

In the case where all goals or objectives are successfully completed, the activity just shows a spinning circle in the lower-right corner of the screen and never proceeds beyond that. The simulator must then be manually closed, as there’s no indication that the mission has ended or been completed successfully.

Additionally, I’ve noticed that the official documentation for missions/activities still hasn’t been updated for MSFS 2024. The current message still reads:

IMPORTANT! The information given on this page and other linked pages which is specific to Missions is obsolete for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. It will be updated in the future.

I’d like to report this issue and also ask as 3rd party dev:

  • Is this a known problem?
  • Has there been any update or workaround introduced for how missions should end in MSFS 2024?
  • Is there any new documentation or guidance available on how the End Screen should now behave or be implemented?

Thank you in advance for your support, and I appreciate any information you can provide to continue developing with my custom activities.

Best regards,

Fabian
