Hi guys…i ve been happily flying with the pmdg 737-700…everything is working fine, especially the VNAV. pretty accurate with altitude constraints, etc…
i just bought the 600, and unfortunately, a few issues ..
the parking brake doesn’t work (keyboard or joystck, even mapping is correct)..;well
Discontinuity in tracks (star and approach), even no flight discontinuity in the LEGS PAGE
VNAV not accurate at all, it will descent..yes, but not “enough”, i have also to kinda “expedite” the descent using a strong VS to get to the correct altitude accordfing to star and ils altitude…
all that (so far), regardless the official pmdg liveries..
They have accurately modeled the parking and autobrake functionality. If you want a detailed explanation take a look at Rob’s -600 release announcement on the PMDG forum. In brief, you’re meant to apply the brakes when setting or releasing the Parking Brake on the 737, which is now accurately modeled. Naturally, this works best with toe brakes on rudder pedals, but he mentions if you’re using a button for brakes to give it a good long press, rather than a tap, prior to setting/releasing the Parking Brake.
The new, more realistic brake system is also applied to the -700 as well. As they are on the same build version after update. So you would still get the same issue if you haven’t read the release notes and the way that the parking brake is supposed to be operated.
