Fingers crossed on SU1 being spectacular.

Why the different dates? Just curious.

The forum software is probably using the date in UTC, where it is currently 0035 on January 10.

My biggest concerns:

  • Heavy and Super Heavy Cargo Missions and appropriate planes to do them
  • Passive Income balancing regarding the bigger more expensive planes to make them a lot more viable to KEEP in Career for passive income generation.
  • More planes for Career to fly, or make Career less isolated from the main sim so we can chose what to fly.

Kudos for that portal they made for us to submit questions for the next dev stream. Excited for the Brazil WU. I also hope they will have learned a lesson, and first publish SU1 as an open beta.

What bothers me about that form is that we won’t be able to see and vote on the questions. If there is a way to do that, then that’s great.

Very underwhelming in content, details for what’s ahead and more. At best 1 more week until we see feedback snapshot, which is essentially 1 month but more than 4weeks since the last worthy blog post. But no clear details on when sim update 1 will come & what it will contain. No details on when marketplace will come. No statement clearly acknowledging blurry textures and issues.

When is SU1 scheduled to be released?

Hah, I think at the moment we are at a point of scheduling a schedule to schedule a schedule. It’s some point in the future .

A bag full of nothing.

What (somewhat) concerns me is that all this mess (bugs) we’re witnessing, together with the lack of direct-to-the-point feedback from MSAsobo gives me the impression that they have no clear path on the short term.

We get these development updates blogs covering topics that simply (at the moment) are not the priority for most of us.

The statistics showing that there are more people playing MSFS 2020 than MSFS 2024, with the latter dropping more than the former, show the “picture”.

3 flights this eve. 1 free flight & 2 company flights. All 3 ctd at some point mid flight.

They have no clear path, because I believe they’ve no idea where they are, let alone know where they need to go.:

The layer-upon-layer of bugs that cause bugs… must seem mountainous…

Kind of like a needle in a haystack…

This is really poor communication. Minimum of information.

But hey, WU Brazil is inbound

So there are over 1000 bugs in FS2024 and they release a hotfix with one fix !! No acknowledgment of their failures or a comprehensive plan to fix the “sim”. Utterly pathetic.

It looks like they are not waiting for SU1 to issue fixes. The release of 1.2.11.0 yesterday has solved a major problem for some of us in the A320 etc, and the fact they released it as a one-off bodes a bit better for the future. Many fixes they should be able to do server-side, as they did with the recent career fix. (Though I must admit both these bugs actually occurred after the FS2024 release, and were self-inflicted.)

I’ve been a harsh critic since the release of FS2024 (and before!), but this is the most positive sign I’ve seen for a while.

Only the hay are the bugs and the needle is the one thing that does work :grinning:. Just kidding.

We should ALWAYS use UTC - anything else creates chaos and confusion.

UTC is used internationally in Aviation, and in the Sim.
