I cannot install JF Turbo Arrow since the installer.exe has to have Internet Explorer available. That’s completely absurd that I’m being hung up by this Windows XP era software.
Any way to get around this with MS Edge. My system will not install Internet Explorer anymore.
Why would you think this? There is no such requirement. If you post some more details, hopefully we can help.

Internet Explorer is obsolete now. It was replaced with edge a while back. I use Chrome, but I don’t remember any browser requirements when I activated mine.
From the JustFlight FAQ:
"Default Browser:
Our activation windows are designed to work in Windows Internet Explorer (IE). If you do not have this installed, this is likely to be the cause. Please install Internet Explorer and try to activate the product again.
If you still are unable to activate your product, please make sure that Internet Explorer is your default browser and then try again.
Lastly within Internet Explorer its worth moving the security slider to medium instead of medium high or high (Settings Cog > Internet Options > Security). The next tab is privacy so make sure the slider for that is at the bottom so it Accepts All Cookies. (Make sure the “Turn on Pop-up Blocker” is unticked. Click on apply then ok)"
That’s why I think so, aside from the installer.exe freezing and failing to install the Turbo Arrow.
AFIK, there are no issues installing with Edge. Most Windows 10 users will have installed using that browser. Honestly, I would be surprised if there are issues with any mainstream browser. Usually with verbiage like this, it just means that they haven’t bothered to test with other browsers. As far as the FAQ goes, it may be a relic from earlier days…
I can’t remember how the installer/activation process works, but you might want to double-check to make sure that you have popup windows enabled. If that doesn’t work, you will want to open a support ticket with JustFlight.
you dont need that at all. i had np with firefox.
that’s propably a 10 year old text that they forgot to update.
At least it’s not Netscape Navigator !

I installed the Arrow using Edge. No issues at all.
I don’t have the bloody IE and I have no issues with Edge.
I did my install and I only use Chrome
Although the requirement is silly, my Windows 10 still has IE installed. How did you get rid of it? Most people don’t even know it’s still there.
Edit: ah, I now see it’s part of the Windows Features. You should be able to install it from there.
Running Insider Dev OS Build 21390.2025 which doesn’t seem to allow re-installation of IE 11.
Ah okay. Then they might finally have killed it for real.
I can turn it on and off via the Control Panel → Programs → Windows Features. But I guess it’s gone there then too.
Thanks to all. Installed W11 Insider Vers. Then enabled several scripting options ala IE11 and the activation/download worked. Appreciate all contributions to getting this resolved. Justflight was quite responsive also.
Now, to see if I prefer their Arrow to the Carenado version…
