Most of these posts really demonstrate a very low level of motivation!!!
As a former employer myself, whoever asked for the compensation package and benefits first was off the recruiting list, period. Many would simply be ignored even if they do have the adequate level of skills for the job, this is not how recruitment works at all.
An employer going out with a set package on his advertisement would deprive himself of all suitable candidatures with a better experience and deserving a better package, this is called poaching staff, not hiring for the long term benefit of employer and employee.
One has to 1) prove skills and experience, 2) explain motivation for applying, 3/ negotiate package according to experience.
In conclusion Asobo is right to remain open for discussion, this is how you attract the best talents that our simulator deserves.
I’m sure headhunters are very helpful in the recruitment process. And there are plenty of consultants that can provide skilled people. Salary/compensation amounts are surveyed and published for people seeking work. Also, depending upon the local regulations, companies might have to post jobs externally even though the position is filled internally. I’m sure Asobo knows what they are doing. This isn’t their first rodeo.
Yes, let’s waste each others time and then figure out the salary & compensation package expectation is totally no match between the candidate and hiring firm. Your idea about not talking about salary is very outdated if you ask me.
The move to France is tempting, but gaming companies are not. I saw what happened with Aces.
I have a lot of experience for some of the roles but wouldn’t chance it even though I’d love to live in France. Being injured and not able to walk properly at the moment is also a problem.
There are no shortages of developers in China and India the shortage of developers mainly subsists in the West…there are reasons for that but another time
what a brilliant opportunity for all those posters who keep telling Asobo what they should do and what they are doing wrong. Now they can apply and do it themselves. Remote working possible I assume.
Don’t think so – looks like most require a relocation to commute into the Asobo Offices – and – “Je choisis de ne pas passer toute la journée à parler français”
