Joby S4 not usable in career mode

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

The Joby S4 finally seems to be available in career mode, but as far as I can tell, its engines cannot be started.

I’ve tried multiple missions, made sure the battery is fully charged, toggled between cargo and flight modes, shut down the plane and booted it up again, tried playing with the throttle, and nothing resulted in the engines spooling up.

Either I’m missing something extremely obvious, or it just currently doesn’t work from cold start.

Sadly, skipping to takeoff also does not result in the engines running.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?

Every time in Career. Haven’t tried it in Free Flight so far, but in SU3 Beta and Stable this worked fine.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

  1. Add the Joby S4 to your company

  2. Attempt to fly any missions with it

  • Xbox Controller

I don’t have a screenshot, but the engines are simply turned off. The propellers aren’t running.

I wonder why this was moved from Aircraft & Systems to User Interface & Activities. Isn’t this an Aircraft issue, even though it is triggered in Career?

Can you reproduce the same issue in free flight ?, if not then there is an issue in the career mode (Activities) or something in the aircraft configuration but linked to the career mode that prevent the engines to start. That is why actual category is more suitable. If you can reproduce the issue in free flight, then report will be moved back to the Aircraft category.

I see, thanks for the clarification. It’s Career mode only, I’ve tried it in Free Flight yesterday and everything was fine.
