Ok on the day of release everyone wanted to fly and you had a bandwidth and server problem. So now it’s been a week and it’s getting worse. Your main customer comes home in the evening after work and would be happy to fly on the simulator for two hours. But since everyone wants to do this at 7-11 pm, the bandwidth is collapsing and the simulator is not working with the symptoms described here. So why don’t you admit that for an online game of this size, with the amount of bytes that need to be transmitted to the customer, Microsoft simply doesn’t have the capacity or the budget to open up the lines so that the data can flow to all consumers. You yourself have said that 100mbit/sec would be good. I have such an internet connection but when I start the game I only get a maximum of 3-4 mbit from you. It seems that Microsoft’s solution is to give everyone a limited bandwidth for the time being. So that the game loads first but then everything works and looks terrible. As it is described here in many forums. So either you provide more bandwidth per user or you admit that you can’t afford it at the moment. But getting 4 mbits at the moment means that I have to wait 20 minutes until that I have the chance to get inside the game with having a bad bad bad expierience on graphics.
so sometimes it will do so, but MS and Asobo promised that it will do much more quicker than as it do in the past. Right at that moment a lot of people have to wait up to twenty minutes until they have a chance to get inside the game
It really isn’t. Takes me 80 seconds to go from launch to menu and then sweet servers while I’m flying. I’m not saying you’re not experiencing what you’re experiencing, What’s your setup?
Hmm, I’m in London Ontario and I fly day and night with no delays that I can see. Takes 2-3 mins to get in (including FSLTL and other addons) and about 1 min to start a flight.
But when you offer a game that have to work “out of the cloud” and you know that your customers will be al along the globe thats a problem you have to take care before release, isnt it so?
Of course it does. We are all frustrated, even I who have not experienced any problems (more or less). There is nothing we can do except for refunds and pray that Microsobo does something, I’m afraid.
Fully agree. It’s definitely NOT collapsing for me either and I flew every day since after launchday. I can pretty much get in the sim and fly whenever while having everything loading. I’m also in europe.
Where’s the data on all that? I keep seeing such statements everywhere, but nobody shows how they reached those conclusions. How do we know how many people actually can’t fly at all because ‘microsofts cloud system doesn’t work’? Where are the numbers, how is this measured and who measures it?
OK to be a more precisly: I am in germany, starting the game at a about 8-10 am in the morning a have a bandwith at aboout 80 mbits and everthing works great. But that not the time a want to play the game. Being at home at about 7 pm in the evening nothting works anymore, It will took about 20mins to load and then when I am inside the game I have a plane with one wing and so much other things which will not work than all the other people shows here in different forums
