Joysticks display PC menus on XBOX

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

When a Thrustmaster HOTAS-1 is connected to an XBOX console, the MSFS configuration menus display options that are only available for PC.

The “Developer Mode“ menu should be hidden.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

Always.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

On SU3 (version 1.5.27.0) :

  1. Connect a Thrustmaster HOTAS-1 to the XBOX.

  2. Open the configuration menu.

CONFIG

XBOX Series S and Series X
Keyboard + Mouse

MEDIA

On XBOX, we have the Developer Mode menu, shown above the Radio menu:

This menu is specific to PC and has nothing to do on XBOX.
i.e. We have here the function “OPEN COMMUNITY CONTENT MANAGER” !!!

Sure, we don’t have a COMMUNITY folder on the XBOX !

We can affect a button to this function, but of course, when pressing it does nothing.

There is a similar issue with the TURTLE BEACH VelocityOne :

Again, the configuration menu display the Developer Mode (useless for XBOX) :

Note also there is another bug for this device (reported in another topic) : the picture is missing !

On reflection, I think this isn’t a bug and we can close the thread.

This is certainly a new feature for consoles.
Indeed, the “OPEN COMMUNITY CONTENT MANAGER” option in the “User interface” section doesn’t exist on PC:

So it’s definitely console-specific. A PC doesn’t need it, since there is the Windows file manager.

So, there seems to be an “COMMUNITY CONTENT MANAGER” in the works for consoles.
Could this be the second surprise announced during the 2025 roadmap presentation?

Topic moved from bug reports as OP considers this issue closed.
