Ju 52 - Fuel Gauge

Hi everybody
I just bought the JU 52 and really love it.

Only one thing bothers me: Is there really no Fuel Quantity Gauge in the flightdeck or did I just not find it yet?
Maybe someone can help?!

regards, Benni T.

Sticking up on the wing, above the engine.

Oh wow thatā€™s old schoolā€¦
Thanks for your answer!

2 more questions came to my mind during my recent flights with this beauty:

  • I found the flap position indicator left of the captains seat. But where is the flap handle?
  • Is there any way of switching of the landing lights in the 1939 version? They produce a very nasty reflection on the center prop (as mentioned in ā€œknown bugsā€)

thanks for your help.
rgrds, Benni T.

  • flaps - I cheated and use my Bravo quadrant
  • landing lights - I think the lever under the seat has a setting of off->taxi->landing light. Canā€™t you just switch it to the off or does it remain on even then ? I havenā€™t noticed the issue you state.

Yes the landing lights are turned off by a lever literally underneath captainā€™s seat. You canā€™t see it. Gotta get a camera down there.

The wheel, right of the pilots seat.

A quick search for existing threads would have all that answered already

Wings fuel gauges are kind of unusable in flight (from the cockpit at least). First they are very small and you need to really zoom in to see the needle. But most annoying is that in flight the engine heat blur makes them completely unreadable. Could be the part of realism though.

Gauges like that are kind of a Junkers trademark on their twin engined aircraft, the JU-88 even had three of them in every engine nacelle, albeit better readable than those of the Auntie.
