I typically like to wait for the Transcript to read before making comments… I know those can take awhile, thank you for the teams putting that together.
However I was disappointed watching the stream with the specific questions related to when we are getting SU16? And When Xbox Series X will have LOD/ OLOD restored? In fact many questions had unacceptable answers considering this livestream was postponed a week. Was there no preparation or forethought put into some of this? Seems like they have been in full vacation mode since SU15 was dropped. It’s beyond frustrating to have these livestreams where we can’t ask questions, the ones we do ask don’t get answered, or if they are “answered” leave more questions in the wake. If we are going to have casual discussions let’s do that, if we are going to have meaningful discussions let’s do that, currently we are stuck in limbo and it’s wasting the Devs time and ours.
From my interpretation of what Sebastian was saying, they are waiting on Xbox teams to fix the GDK.(?) And we may have a solution for some sort of VRAM workaround. But no date was given for SU16, only “a month” for beta period timeline. Yes I know the roadmap says “August?”. What have they been doing for the last 60+ days if we don’t have a beta queued up to remedy what SU15 took from Series X?
The LOD question it seemed like Sebastian and the team will ‘play’ with the sliders and see what they can come up with. Let’s fix and restore the sliders to what we had please! The current sim on Series x is unrecognizable from what it was before SU15.
