Just a quick question about a ASUS TUF RTX 3080 ti

Ok so I found a more or less good deal where I bit the bullet and got myself the RTX 3080 ti (ASUS TUF RTX 3080 ti OC). If all goes well it should be here by Saturday. Anyway I am using a be quiet! Straight Power (Gold) 750W power supply.

Other specs:
i9-9900k mildly overclocked
Dark Rock Pro 4
2 case fans
32GB DDR4
Samsung 970 250GB for system
2 x SATA SSD
1 x HDD for storage

Opinions seem to be polarized “750W is more than enough” … “Ugh… even 850W is somewhat risky”

I would like to know what your take is on the matter. Can I wait a little (when not doing anymore upgrades) or should I not dare fire up MSFS in VR with the new card until I upgrade my PSU?

If you have inadequate power all that should happen is that the card will not obtain its optimal performance. What does the Asus box say as far as power requirements…

I am getting ASUS RTX 3080 Ti TUF Gaming (non OC) next Tuesday. I changed my PSU already to 850 W. GPU’s maximum power is 375 W and the peak loads can be 50% or more higher. The NVIDIA’s recommended PSU is 850 W.
