Just Flight announces the Avro RJ series for MSFS

I think your assumption is correct.
Seeing as how it went with the 146, I think the timeframe you are mentioning is realistic.
Hoping that a fall release is happening, been waiting for this one a long time!

Our aim is to release both the RJ and F70/F100 this year. We’ll have more info on the RJ very soon.

Ah yes, another purchase incoming. Personally, I’ve been waiting for the RJ as it more suits the time I have available for simming. Used to see these all the time doing test flights at BAE Woodford, UK (now a housing estate sadly :disappointed_relieved: ), this and the ATP, with an occasional An-124. Good times. :+1:

When I see the F28 is not out yet on Xbox almost one year after its release and the fact I suppose it’s less complex than the RJ, I wouldn’t hold my breath on seeing it soon on Xbox. But I hope I’m wrong because it would be an instant purchase for me (hopping the update of navdata may be resolved by JF too) !

We do not envisage having the same hold-ups with the RJ as we have been having with the F28 on Xbox. We anticipate the RJ to release on the in-game marketplace for PC and Xbox on the same day.

I just realized that the Avro RJ does not have an autobrake system (does it?) and since I do not own pedals, braking using a button means applying full braking as soon as I press the button… which is not very realistic. I was wondering if maybe it would be possible to have an option (in the EFB maybe?) that would limit the braking power? This way we, peasants without pedals, could choose how much braking power is applied when pushing the button and this way make our landings more realistic?

Latest development update is now live. This one focuses on the new Passenger cabin work. Enjoy…

If you run out of things to model, you could always do the RJX 100 for something a bit different :wink:

Looking very good. :+1:

If even the A300 is released before this one I’ll be very disappointed.

So will we…

We’ll be bringing you a preview video of the new RJ sounds very soon but in the meantime I wanted to share a selection of screenshots that we’ve taken during recent test flights across the world.

As you can see here, we carry out those test flights in a variety of locations, altitudes, weather conditions and payloads. The RJ is an incredibly versatile aircraft with all sorts of operators and missions, so there’s no shortage of options. Fortunately we are also blessed with stunning scenery in MSFS, so it’s not much of a chore!

I love JF products, and looking forward to this release. Just a comment, please make it ease on FPS, especially in VR.

Surely you’re not testing on Xbox. You wouldn’t write such things. :slight_smile:

@NORTMAR
Would it be possible to lower the braking pressure through the EFB (or any other means) so we can get more realistic braking while using a game pad? Unfortunately without pedals the brake is an on/off switch, and since the Avro RJ does not have an autobrake system, doing max braking every time we land is quite… bad? :stuck_out_tongue:
