Just Flight fokker F28 - rudder has not been fixed at all

Hello all,
[just a note : how to create a tag, fokker f28 doesn’t exist, and you are forced to use 2 tags, so I choose the a320 but that’s not the good aircraft]

for folks has bought the fokker F28 like me (and are poor again now), I see on just flight forum that there was a problem on xbox controller with rudder pedestal, there was a internal address that be used twice by mistake, and using left axe rudder make rudder goes to left, but as the right axe rudder (you go to left too, that’s hilarious on the taxi way).

And so there was a hotfix (on a downloadable link, but it’s deactivated now) then an update (1.1) and in the changelog, you can see JF says that there is “support added for ‘RUDDER RIGHT (YAW RIGHT)’ and ‘RUDDER LEFT (YAW LEFT)’ assignments”.

If I have understood, they just add a way to use rudder.
But that’s not at all the same controls, I’m explain :
Left & right rudder axe, using the left & right trigger on the controller, and the pedestal goes left & right but always came back on the center.
If you use rudder left & right (yaw), this is more like a cursor you displace between left and right, and there is no come back on the center.
That way, it’s impossible to pilot (try to flight with a keyboard, this is the same)
And so, the bug with left & right AXE still exist and you “Just (cant) Flight” [I’m very proud of my joke].

Seriously, I’ve wrote on the JF forum, create a ticket, no response for now.
Is there anyone have a solution ?
Am I miss something ?

Because seen the cost of this one, I’m a little disappointed for now !

Bye

Not sure which hotfix you are referring to but check the official thread here and you’ll find all the info you need.

They issued a small petch first and that was then built into the next update.

I had the exact issue, in fact I was the one who reported it here, and at their forum, and it is working perfectly now.

Hi,
could please provide me the link ?

Here what I found for the link (the hotfix) : F28 rudder axis controller hotfix | Just Flight Community

And here is the changelog : F28 Professional (MSFS) Changelog : The Spirit of Flight Simulation

But whatever the way I bind my controller, rudder still making problems …

Hello @BenjiBoy1561,

Your topic has been moved into the General Discussion & Community Support category Aviate, Navigate, Communicate

The Bug Reports category is for posting suspected or confirmed bugs in the base sim (no addons, mods or utilities) that other users are able to reproduce without duplicating an existing bug topic. Using the template is required in order to provide valuable information, feedback, and replication steps to our test team.

NOTE: All issues caused by or involving third-party addons/mods should be reported to the third-party developer. Assure that no addons/mods are used when reporting issues in Bug Reports.

Some 3rd Party aircraft do not have tags but should have a company or organization tag. I have added just-flight to the tag field.

I had a response from Just Flight in my ticket about this problem :

“A new update for the F28 is due to be released this week which incorporates a whole host of bug fixes and improvements.
You will be notified by email, when the update has been published.”

That’s a very general and evasive answer, but let’s be positive, let’s say it’s going to solve the problem that’s preventing me from using this aircraft.

That hotfix you posted works fine for me and many others. Forget about those RUDDER RIGHT (YAW RIGHT) and RUDDER LEFT (YAW LEFT) assignments, clear the values in the controller settings. These assignments were used with the previous, first hotfix and it didn’t work well (the rudder didn’t center itself, as you mentioned). They are different from RUDDER AXIS LEFT and RUDDER AXIS RIGHT assignments. If you have both assignments coupled with your controller buttons then it of course causes trouble.

Unfortunately no, it wasn’t, because the link was dead, as I said in the first place.
But, since this update of JF :

Link updated (17/8/23)

Yes, it is.
Thanks to Martyn from the JF staff.
