Just Flight turbo Arrow autopilot banking full left

My Arrow just developed this issue. Whenever I engage AP the plane goes full left aileron and never recovers.

It’s the second flight it did that, I’ve tried rebooting. I’ve flown several successful hours on the AP previously, it started yesterday, mid flight.

First thing to check is your settings. Make sure these are covered before investigating further:

  1. Check to make sure you have an empty community folder.
  2. Flight model is set to Modern. Don’t use Legacy.
  3. Turn off all assists or set to Hard/True to Life.
  4. AI Copilot Control is turned off.
  5. Add Deadzones to all your primary flight control axis X,Y,Z. At least 5-10% should be enough.

I have that happening when I left the plane with AP on. I cured it by loading up the plane, switching the AP off, going back to main menu and then starting again.

Sounds like an issue with state saving. I’d first try disabling it and restart the sim.
Seems like sometimes state saving recreates some invalid state which you don’t seem to be able to recover from.

Since it causes these effects, I just chose to not use state saving at all, even though it’s a nice feature.

Sure you’re not in HDG mode and the bug isn’t set left of your current course?

That solved it, thanks!

Can confirm the same occurence during a round the World trip. At my checks I noticed that my ailerons weren’t functioning as they should (banking stationary to the left). I put State staving off, unfortunately. That solved the issue, but it is probably a bug and not a feature.

AFIK, this is an autopilot issue, not a state saving issue. As long as you turn the autopilot off before starting, you should be fine. I’ve left it on a few times when saving state and have never had any issues when I’ve just turned it off prior to turning on the battery switch in the subsequent flight.
