I have found a folder with some screenshots in my old HD that I took with FSX plus addons… and refloat a 2009 Calendar screenshot that I have made for my old community…
Remembering REX, FTX, RealAir, Flytamps, Megascenery, GEX…
It does not look bad right?..Yes I made some minor photoshop touches but…

Doesn’t look bad at all, but still doesn’t come close to how msfs can look without any addons installed.
The only thing i still really like about fsx is the water textures. Altough not being 3d waves, they look so much more realistic then in msfs. I also liked that there was difference in color for ocean and inland water. The water in msfs20 is almost the same everywhere, and it only looks good when using high wind values. With normal wind conditions it looks like an over reflective mirror with simple water shaders.
Looks as good as FS2020 with SU5.

You’ve got some superb Screens there. My Beloved Co Pilot was flying in FSX Gold with Flight Environment X and remarked that the Clouds reminded her of what we used to experience in MSF 2020.
