Apparently this splash screen is only for those who are using Windows 11 and have purchased MSFS through the MS Store.

Not true. Splash screen is present on Windows 10.

I think the second part is what happen. Its a loading screen visible for MS-Store users only ( and I remember ages ago users ask about such kind of “loading” screen ).
