KBFI Boeing Field, Seattle WA

I am writing to ask Asobo/Microsoft to fix the iconic Big hanger at KBFI. AS of right now the sim MSFS2020 shows it as a low building when it should be 3 stories tall and have very large hangar doors facing NE.

The second pic is what it really looks like…can you fix this to appear more real for us?
The other buildings nearby also need a little TLC.

I’m hoping for Asobo or a 3rd party add-on for KBFI to spruce it up :crossed_fingers:

Hi, do you have an official source that says how tall this building is?

I have been looking on the net for information on this building and nothing is coming up…I believe it is about 105ft tall and 1,776,000sq ft inside, but beyond this I have no other information…there are several pictures of it with aircraft parked in front which we might be able to extrapolate the size from these…I also believe the red and white checking on the north end is 15ft x 15ft per square…not positive…if anyone knows this data, please list it here. Thanks
It definitely needs an update…I was made aware the Drzewiecki Design might be working on this as an addon. Not sure when it will be available.

I hope Drzewiecki Design does it. That would be awesome!

(If you can find an official source saying how big those boxes are on the checkerboard, that would be good, too!)

If anyone has an official source saying how tall this building is, please reply to this bug report!

There’s a freeware version on flightsim dot to. I don’t know how it compares to reality because I don’t know how the field looks like IRL, but it’s certainly better than the stock version.

You can say flightsim.to. It’s okay. :slightly_smiling_face:

thank you…

There is no flightsim.to KBFI - Someone please help!

It is tall enough that you can park a 747 inside it - the structural beams along the front are notched to accommodate, so add 15’ on top of a 747 height and you’ll be close enough. I used to haul a Zenith PC up the inside stairs to the control tower on the south side prior to the install of an elevator.

Sorry, I got it confused with KRNT. It appears you are correct, or perhaps they used to have it but no longer do.
