KDEN - Which One Loads

If you have Asobo KDEN in Official/OneStore and Flightbeam KDEN in Community, & you set up a flight to Depart from KDEN, which version will load?
Is there any way to tell MSFS to load the other version?
TG

You need to remove the default Asobo KDEN from the content manager, or else both will load at the same time.

@iRoozy Since when do things need to be removed via the Content Manager? I didn’t need to remove EDDM when I bought the SimWings version. Whatever is in the Community Folder overrides default content. Period.

Incorrect, And you can post in the Flightbeam forums if you doubt me. The FB Denver will take precedence over the default. Initially when FB KDEN was released there was a bug when you had to disable the default airport but it was fixed last year.

@ThreeGuide4354 The tower is very distinctive at KDEN. The default looks nothing like my screenshot, plus there are other key clues such as taxiways and Maintenance hangars, ground clutter etc.

I had always believed, that if you add an airport in the Community folder, that MSFS still loaded

(1) the default airport
then
(2) Overwrote that with any airport data from a ASOBO bespoke airport in OFFICIAL
then
(3) Overwrote that with any airport data from Community folder.

IN all cases, if specific data was not overwritten, the data from the prior loaded parts of the airport, still were present in the final Airport rendering.

But I do not create airports, so if there is anyone here that does, and knows better, please update me with how it really works.

@N6722C If the 3rd party scenery conforms to MSFS SDK then the json file they provide will disable default airports from loading. I have tons of 3rd party scenery, Orbx, FB and freeware and i’ve never had to mess with any default.

Thanks, good to know… so it does not work like Aircraft, and only overwirte with what new data you supply.

Thank you
I interpret this to mean that if Asobo & FlightBeam are both installed then FlightBeam loads.
If, for whatever reason I want Asobo, I should move FlightBeam out of the Community folder.

Some do, some don’t.
I had to disable the stock YSSY, after I installed FlyTampa’s version.
Both were showing up.
All others I have installed were fine.

When you create a replacement airport for an existing one, in the XML source code file there will be a section of objects to be deleted from the existing airport. This section does not actually modify the existing default airport - the delete section is a list of default objects that will be suppressed when the modified airport is in the community folder. In cases where parts of the original airports still show, the developers may have missed adding deletes for some default objects.
