Been using my Quest 2 with MSFS for the last 12 months without issue. Was doing multi-hour flights during that time (using link connection )
Now, when I play after 10-15 minutes I get “PC Disconnected” error and dumps me in the Quest homescreen. Am Able to re-connect immediately…7-8 minutes later same thing. then minutes after that same thing…then the connection disconnects immediately until I re-boot the headset.
The a wireless connection lasts longer but does still happen. So I thought it’s the cable . But wiggling the connection at the headset end whilst playing causes no issues. Plus this is repeatable. (15 mins, 8mins, 3 mins etc)
Thought it might be flying the Boing 247D (no updates) or using the GTN750 that was causing the issue, but flying in the C152 does the same.
My ram (16gb) is only at 50% and I am using DX11.
Has anyone else experienced this ? If so, did you solve it ?
SOLVED : Turns out the cable was “Broken” somewhere near the connector at the headset end.
I moved my Hub onto the desk and then noticed the connection light for the cable was flicking off and on when i moved the headset in my hands. Cable tied the cable to the headset strap , did a flight and stayed connected the whole time.
What confused me was I would be flying for about 10 minutes, moving my head about as normal and then it would disconnect. This seemed to happen everytime. Not like one time 10 minutes, then the next time 2 minutes and then 20 minutes etc.
Good news as I can replace the cable. Was concerned the USB C port on my headset had a loose connection.
