Keeping triple 32inch or going 49+27?

Hello simmers, what do you think? I love my triple 32 1440p but I have no DP ports left on my 3090. With BF I am thinking of getting the 49 g9 and another 27 inch to get down to 2 DP ports so the 3rd is for my Reverb G2.
Anyone sporting this config 49+27?

Hi
Did you change in the end?

I’m thinking of coming down from triple 4k to triple 2k as a 3080ti cannot run racing sims at 4k very well, I did look at the 49" ultrawide but have not seen any good reviews on it for sim use - you lose a lot of vertical FOV and its still only the same area as two 27" screens

As someone using 49" ultrawide (3840x1080) for a few years for office, gaming and simming, I feel like going from triples to ultrawide is a step down in terms of immersion. But a step up in terms of graphics (and fps) as well as saving some actual space in the room.

I wrote more in-depth about my experiences here:

Also, “The Sim Simma” on youtube runs 4 x 4K 55" but the side ones are in 2K, to save some performance. He seems happy with that.

I’ve even heard of some running sides in 1K just for performance. “The Sim Simma” tested it, but found it didn’t improve but it degraded quality.

I will likely be going 3 x 4K 55" myself, sides either 2K or 1K depending on FPS. Front may even also be 2K, depending on pixel density and performance. And then I’ll go up higher as I find money to upgrade to better GPU some time long in the future :joy:

I’ve just this month gone from triple 50" 4K to triple 32" 1440p simply because the image looks better, the FPS is a little higher and the action is smoother.

Sitting very close to three 50" screens is not for everyone and it can get a bit “in your face”, maybe I have mild claustrophobia??

I never managed to hit the same FPS as Da Sim Simmer does, his setup looks very smooth but mine was stuttery when the motion was rapid, racing and driving apps show this far more than FS2020.
