Keyboard Automatically Added. How Do You Delete?

A keyboard was added inadvertently. But how can I delete it from my XBox Series X? I searched everywhere online and no answer.

I don’t think that is possible, but just delete all of the control profiles if you don’t want any control input from it.

I cant delete the profiles. The option to delete is grayed out. One is called short keyboard and the other is default. Thank you for the advice. Im shocked that its not possible. Wow.

You cannot delete the default profiles.

Are you using an Elite Series II controller?

If so, its additional functionality must be recognized as a “keyboard”, because it is added automatically.

If you use a standard Xbox controller, the Keyboard profile is not present.

Thanks for all the replies.

Its been a frustrating day. As I was troubleshooting - my xbox controller started to loose it. Button’s wouldn’t work anymore. After many reboots and once the game actually rebooted I no longer had the keyboard profiles. It just disappeared. And everything came back to normal (so far).

Very strange.

Hope someone at Microsoft will add a common sense feature to remove peripheral’s just as easily as they are added.
