Keyboard Layout in MSFS 2024 Turns Off Engine, Among Other Things

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
An unfindable keyboard layout in MSFS 24 causes the engine to be shut off. When I press the Enter key to respond to the ATC in career mode, either the mixture and throttle levers are set to 0, or the small switch at the bottom of the Cessna 172 (throttle cutoff) is pulled out. Both lead to the engine stalling during the already slow landing approach (after a 2-3 hour flight!) due to the low altitude, such as during the announcement of landing on runway XY, inevitably causing the plane to crash. Today, after updating to version 1.2.7.0, I conducted two flights, and in both flights, I couldn’t save the plane due to this error. It’s frustrating because the repair is extremely expensive due to my chosen insurance, and it’s not a pilot error that causes the plane to crash.

This really takes the fun out of it!

1. Answering ATC “confirm landing approval” by pressing Enter on Keyboard
2. Mixture Shutoff Switch at the buttom is pulled out
3. Engine switches off and the plane starts to stall and crashes.

don´t know if its relevant: Honeycomb Alpha and Bravo, Thrustmaster Pedals, Thrustmaster Airbus Extended Flightstick (not in use with the Cessna 172)

• Same issue. respond to comm and engine shuts off Airbus H125. Crash! Started after most recent update. I tired to reassign the enter key and still keeps happening. Broken good now

Todays patch has created this issue again, ATC comm respond with enter and the engines shuts down

• Same issue but in Career Mode in the Vision Jet. Accidentally hit the keypad enter key and all electric went cold and dark. All booster switches were shut off and the engine run switch was also set to off.

Create a new custom profile, then immediately “Clear” it. Then add only the commands you want. It’s a bit of work the first time, but ends up being easier and faster than eliminating all conflicts.
