L39 Red Thunder - Why don't they give us access?

I purchased the L39 Red Thunder for MSFS 2020, the one with a Garmin-equipped cockpit. It may not be perfectly realistic but I like flying it, it is very pleasant.
But the cockpit is full of bugs and inactive parts. Basically I couldn’t even start the engine without pressing Ctrl-E. As I have some dev knowledge, including XML, I could fix the engine start and the digital fuel meter that is completely wrong.
I wanted to fix the flap lights as well, but I just can’t! Anything I change in this part of the XML file is ignored. I understood this component is inherited from a code that is hidden in the .fsarchive files protected by DRM, obviously inaccessible to me :frowning:
Mister Asobo, when you release a cockpit full of bugs, please give us the ability to fix it, that would be nice.
(if anyone knows how I can freely update L39_Interior.xml, please let me know)

EDIT: It is hard for me to understand that some parts of the XML file can be edited and others can’t, it is so frustrating…

This is why I hate buying aircraft from the Marketplace. Everything is locked down. If something is available from another source, I’m getting it there. If it’s exclusive, it better be something I’m craving.

My philosophy is that if I have to fix a product I paid someone else to make, it’s not worth my money to begin with. From that perspective, I couldn’t care less how “locked down” something is. Just my $0.02, I guess.

You’re right, but you don’t know what you have to fix before you buy it. I still enjoy this aircraft and it was cheap, but this does not mean it is acceptable. I used to sell software products at the time of FS2004/FSX. Even if cheap, quality has always been my major concern.

I finally came to the same conclusion as you: i will never buy on the market place anymore.
I have purchased the Cirrus SR22, which is good, but I just wanted to fix the brightness of the backup instruments. An easy fix, but I don’t have access to the interior XML, encrypted again :frowning:
