Landing Challenge 'Item Not Downloaded'

Brief description of the issue:
Receiving a message saying ‘Item Not Downloaded’ when I try and load a landing challenge. The content manager shows all items Installed, no options to add in anything else. I’ve installed every free content pack in the marketplace, too. The game may have crashed before fully downloading some of the items - strange that they all show installed now, though.

Provide Screenshot(s)/video(s) of the issue encountered:

Check your “Contents” folder to see if you have the Fly-by-wire mod installed for the A320nx. If you do, the airliner challenges or training will not work. Exit the game, then temporarily remove the A32NX folder from Community and restart the game.

Thanks, that worked. Presumably to make it fair on the leaderboards…

Perhaps a more helpful error message, Asobo?

Not to be snarky (well maybe a little), but you could have done a quick search of the forums and found literately dozens of posts on this (and how to simply fix it).

Good contribution

Bugs & Issues
This section is dedicated to bugs & issues for the core sim (not mods or 3rd party content)

Mods can break the sim. This is why that statement is there. In the bugs & issues section, we only want bugs & issues with MSFS default content only. There are many 3rd party developers that their code can’t be checked. It’s also recommended to remove all mod before updating when patches come out.

Before reporting a bug, remove all mods first.

In the future, 3rd party developers will be given a patch prior to it going live so they have time to test it and make a modification available to download.

But for that particular case it wont change anything because its not a bug, its a “feature” of that mod

People are not even bothering to read what they’re downloading…

Asobo should find a way to write instead “you have a non official plane, scores will be disabled”
Would removed a lot of useless topic like this one

I agree that Asobo should simply note that the A32NX is not an official aircraft and thus scores would not be counted. That would be an accurate statement and not totally obscure like the one they placed in the sim. Clear, simple communication works for most (not all, sadly) people. Ideally, one should be able to do the landing challenge and even get a score - but if Asobo doesn’t want to officially have the score on record, what’s the big deal?
