Landing gear won't go up F/A-18

Anyone have issues w/ the landing gear not wanting to go up in the FA18? This is the standard MSFS24 plane, nothing special. I have no conflict assignments. I am using a TURTLE BEACH flight stick, and the landing gear lever is designed for it. If I restart the entire flight sometimes it works, but most of the time it won’t. This sounds like a weird bug…

Are failures modelled?

Have you over stressed the gear …going too fast etc?

Make sure you remove the “remove before flight” pin from the main gear during the walkaround, it’s real easy to miss it.

That was it…. this jet gets up so fast on take off that when I push the gear up lever, I’m already well over safe movement speed, so they don’t move. I think you need to lift them or deploy them at speeds less than about 250… Thanks.

FOLLOW UP…. actually, I figured out a pattern where the issue repeats… If you start off ‘FLY NOW’, so the engine is running and you’re on the runway, the landing gear will go up. However, if you start off as SET AS DEPARTURE, and it’s a cold and dark aircraft, then after starting the engines and taking off, the landing gear WILL NOT GO UP. This is repeating. So this may be a legitimate bug. If you guys can try this, let me know. Do a cold start on the FA18, then try to close gear. Mine absolutely stays down, trying even the keypad binding. Conversely, if I start hot, it will go up no problem…… Experiment. Started off FLY NOW, took off, gear up. Landed local airport. Shut down engines to cold stop. Re-started engines. Took off. Gear went up fine. So this must be a bug initiated when it’s an initial C&D start…

No bug, just this little guy tucked away here when starting Cold&Dark.

OOOkayy… that’s a great find. I had absolutely no idea there was a hidden gear pin needing removal. Nice catch….Yea that would do it. Thanks!!
