"landing gear"

Even when I have it down on approach, I still get the alarm as though they’re not.

AND at the same time I can’t control my thrust.

Only tonight, on top of everything else, did an 8 hour transatlantic flight from KJFK to LFPG (why is it not just JFK & CDG anymore?)

1 minute on approach AND THE GAME CRASHED! Seriously? I spend 8 hours of flight to have the game crash? Ffs

Needs sorted big time for the XBOX SERIES X.

I will not do any long flight until next SU… My tip is: only do short flights. I just do short VFR flight

Why? Because there is no such thing as the “JFK” airport. Those are slang names given to them. It has ALWAYS been “KJFK.”

KSEA
KPDX
KLAX
KUAO
etc.

JFK is the IATA Code To be fair, as far as OP problem is what plane and initial issues are?. Not about airport codes. Question to OP what was you flying? So mamy questions “cant control thrust” is it auto thrust. You need to be a bit more specific in your issues for the community to help

Not slang.

ICAO vs IATA

EGLL vs LHR are both London Heathrow
EDDF vs FRA are both Frankfurt

And none of those you mentioned are U.S. airports.

As I stated, KJFK has NEVER been just JFK.

I’ve been a commercial pilot since 1971.

Ok…I stand corrected. Not a real life pilot. But lets not divert from OP issues.

I’m also a pilot and @JWATTS0275 is exactly right even though he is not a pilot.

The IATA and FAA codes are simply JFK even though we use ICAO airport codes by convention.

Here is the government chart - JFK.

The ICAO code uses geography as first letter. K for continental US. P for pacific.

PHNL (ICAO) HNL (IATA) for Honolulu Hawaii.
PANC (ICAO) ANC (IATA) for Anchorage Alaska.

Both of these are US. Neither have a K.

Since you’ve reported trim problems with that Cub as well, it looks like some kind of AI/assistance is interfering with aircraft control.

There is some truth here… JFK was originally Idlewild Airport (ICAO - KIDL, IATA - IDL).

Actually, one of the very few times that an airport code has been reassigned when the airport changed names.

When Chicago Orchard Air Field was renamed to O’Hare International Airport, it had to keep the original KORD/ORD from the Orchard days.

Hello,

I guess the aircraft was the 747-8?
Can you be more specific on the aircraft used and the autopilot/auto-throttle mode used?
This way we will be able to go back to the topic and (hopefully) solve the problem.

I had same happen a few times, landing gear alarm through whole flight time ! Very irritating ! Made me turn down alarm sound.
I had 90 minute flight and it did get very framey for last 30 minutes (when changing views in cockpit). I was worried it would CTD before i landed, but she made it…

They weren’t slang when I worked in the travel industry 20 years ago.

They were the actual abbreviations for each airport.

LAX for example was always Los Angeles.

Hi it was the 747.

I was on manual final approach with no AP or AT on.

It doesn’t bother me about the codes, just a bit new for me compared to the old way I knew them.

I bet the OP’s sorry he asked, now.

Question, do you have real world traffic and multiplayer with nameplates on? Turning off will fix the crashing. The game isn’t the problem, it’s the multiplayer.

Regarding the airport codes…KJFK is ICAO code and JFK is IATA code. The same for LFPG and CDG. Simple as that, both abbreviations are valid in general, but both being used in different environments.

Not really  I’ve had stranger conversations.

Yeah, I normally have live traffic on.

I’ll try it without to see if that helps.
