Landing on an aircraft carrier like in the old days?

Do you remember the aircraft carrier in Flight Simulator 4.0 ?
We do and tried to find a carrier to land on it. Near San Diego we were successful and found the Midway:

Note: the game somehow thinks the carrier is water. The deck wobbles like waves. With airplane damage activated you will crash. (maybe the Icon A5 works, we didn’t try yet)

More pictures when I’m allowed to post them…

Nice! this one has even a clean runway. Gonna try landing an Icon on that one with all dmg activated.

I visited an aircraft carrier repair harbour in Kochi, Kerala the last time I was in India. They did contract work for the UK ski-jump carriers. I’ll see if I can find it in the sim and land there.

Cochi Shipyards currently building India’s biggest aircraft carrier… on Bing Maps it looks promising!

I’m betting a third party will create this before Asobo. I’m guessing its priority is just above “I miss trains”.

i never understood that “I Miss trains” part, like, ehh… okay, scenery trains … other than watching them, whats the big deal on them.

Actually they can make a big difference. Unless you have landed, in Real Life, over a train crossing the end of the runway you could not understand, but the added distraction and challenge is definitely there,

probably because where i flew IRL, i never had to worry about that, so there you go
